1. Is the e-paper display suitable for your project?

E-paper display is not suitable for scenes which has a very high pursuit of color saturation, it is also not suitable for scenes need to be frequently updated and play videos. The scenes of E-paper displays need to avoid prolonged direct sunlight, because under prolonged direct sunlight, ultraviolet rays will make the display yellowed.

E-paper display is suitable for static display scenes with low update frequency.It is suitable for scenes has extremely high requirements for power consumption as well as scenes that are visible under strong light and have eye protection requirements.

2. Color selection

E-paper display is currently divided into black and white, Tri-color(black and white red), four-color(black,white red and yellow )and full-color, In the future, black and white, four-color and full color will become the mainstream, and Tri-color(black and white red) will gradually be eliminated by the market (especially the ESL market).

3. ePaper display refresh rate selection

The black and white e paper display has a high refresh rate, and can be partially refreshed, depending on the different resolutions and processes, the full refresh rate is in the range of 0.5 seconds -3 seconds, the partial refresh rate is in the range of 0.01-1 seconds, Except the black and white e paper display, other colors of e paper display can only be fully refreshed, the standard refresh rate is 15 seconds to 25 seconds ( E-paper display of Kaleido Color technology is a special case, which can display color while maintaining the partial refresh and fast refresh rate of black and white e-paper) )

4. Size selection

Our ePaper display size range in size from 0.97 inches to 42 inches, and we may develop 75 inch products in the future,customer can choose the right size according to their project requirements.

5. Application scenario selection

The operating temperature range of conventional e-paper display products is 0-50 degrees, the operating temperature of special models   can reach -15 to 65 degrees. For application scenarios beyond this temperature requirement, it is recommended to choose carefully.
